Summer Festivals Recession Style

This ones for all the people like us who spent all their money on arizona green teas and snickelfritz and cant afford to go to Coachella anymore. Dont let the recession harsh your mellow though cause theres a bunch of festivals this summer that are in epic locations, have stacked lineups, and are pretty cheap.  If you havent had the festival experience yet I definitely recommend you plan out the road trip, grab your dabbles and camping gear, and make some serious moves to one of this shows.

Lightning in a Bottle
May 28 - 31
Irvine, California
3 Day Pass: 190 $
lightninginabottle.org/

Highlights: Big Gigantic, Booka Shade, Beats Antique, Eliot Lipp, Emancipator, Eoto, Kraddy, MartyParty, Mimosa, Nosaj Thing, Ott, Random Rab, Solillaquists of Sound, Vibesquad

(Definitely trying to make it to this one...The line up is stacked, the road trip-ing will be epic, and its in the middle of the forest...doesnt get much better)

Sonic Bloom
June 25 - 27
Bellvue, Colorado (Mishawaka Amphitheater)
3 Day Pass: 144 $
www.sonicbloomfestival.com/

Highlights: EOTO, Vibesquad, Boombox, Big Gigantic, Zilla, Random Rab, Bassnectar, Mimosa, Future Simple, Beats Antique, Savoy

(Also another epic festival...Ive heard nothing but good things about the Mishawaka...Cervantes is hosting a filthy preparty to prepare you for the grime to come)

Electric Daisy Carnival

Denver - June 12
Los Angeles - June 25 & 26th
2 Day Pass - Around 110$ last year
www.electricdaisycarnival.com

No lineup announced yet but I highly recommend going...Being in the LA Colosseum for this last year was absolutely insane...70,000 people, 5 stages, carnival rides, and ALL the LA freakshows...Thievery Corporation, Pretty Lights, Boys Noize killed it....Don't miss it.

Camp Bisco
July 15 - 17
Mariaville, New York (Indian Lookout Country Club)
3 Day Pass: 155 $
www.campbisco.net/

Highlights: The Disco Biscuits, Thievery Corporation, LCD Soundsystem, Bassnectar, Pretty Lights, Major Lazer, Diplo, The New Deal, Rusko, Gift of Gab, Felix Cartel, Emancipator, SOJA, Kill the Noise, The Black Seeds, ESKMO, Big Gigantic, Mimosa, Dubskin

(By far the most stacked out of all the line ups...Big names and lots of different styles of music...For 155 bucks, this one is definitely worth it...)

I know its early but we'll put up individual reviews of each of the festivals when they get closer...Keep these in mind as your strugglin though finals, summers gettin close....Stay sucka free. Peace.

_-EPROM-_

Long story short, on my way home from Paris I accidently deleted my entire itunes of music. The only positive I see out of this is I get to restart my collection so that means new tunes to be found. I've forsure seen this next DJ's name on some flyers for past festivals. Having all this time now to re-do my itunes collection for new whomps, I made sure to get all the EPROM I could. The man is from Nor Cal - SF , and just basically throws down the headbangers. Eprom has shows all April + May all along California's Coast. You should 100% check him out, and he's also be playing many festivals this summer. Enjoi Eprom.
